Vintage home

Woo hoo! Today I had an exciting delivery, my husband had pre-ordered Kirstie Allsopp‘s new book ‘Kirstie’s Vintage Home’ for me, so today a lovely cardboard box from Amazon appeared on my doormat . How thoughtful of him ❤

For those who don’t know I would describe Kirstie as  a property and interiors expert and the UK’s answer to Martha Stewart (but younger).

The book contains 30 simple handmade projects that can ‘transform your home from shabby to chic‘. I love looking through books like this as they contain great inspiration for my own crafty makes.

Kirstie (hark at me, it sounds like I personally know her…which I don’t) is also a TV presenter and has recently concentrated on making a couple of crafty TV shows on Channel 4. Her new series is due to start in the UK on the early November. I know that I’m not the only one who can’t wait for that – I think in the past whenever her shows air there is a surge in the popularity of the crafts she features in that particular show. For those who want fantastic Christmas inspiration check out her shows ‘Kirstie’s Homemade Christmas‘ and ‘Kirstie and Phil’s Perfect Christmas‘. These shows can be found on the Channel 4 On Demand website – go take a look, you will not be disappointed.

Now I shall sit down with a cup of tea and a few chocolate digestives while I flick through this book (I hope it’s good) –  I’ll let you know how.
