Hi everybody.
I apologise for not posting in a while but things have been busy with work; so as a result all computer time was work time 😦
Cross stitch
I have completed a Christmas cross stitch (which I started last year but then put it down for several months).
It’s a beautiful design by Lucie Heaton and is available to download from her website. Lucie writes for a couple of cross stitch magazines in the UK and I thought I’d pay her site a visit to see what designs were available and it was here I saw the Furry Tales Night Before Christmas cross stitch. I thought it was so cute and something my girls would love. I decided to stitch the design on 16 count Aida as I wanted the background to be less noticeable (and thought this was not a project for evenweave!)
I picked up the cross stitch again in October and was determined to finish it for THIS Christmas.
So last week when the girls went to bed I worked hard and finished off the backstitch wording in one go.
Below is a photo of the finished cross stitch. It still needs ironed and framed but I couldn’t wait to take a picture to show my friends.
Christmas craft
Now we’re into December I wanted to do some Christmas craft with my eldest daughter. My friend Jo-Anne had sent me some inspirational craft pictures and I thought….I could do some of that!.
After a little visit to Ebay I received delivery of the following items.
The result of a couple of hours pinning buttons to a polystyrene cone was this…
- Christmas button tree.
Why don’t you have a go, it’s fun and easy enough for a 4 year old to do (with supervision) 🙂
Glad the idea was successful! Looks fab
Lovely stitching and I just love the button Christmas tree!
Thank you.
I love the button tree idea. I think I might have to do that with my nieces(-to-be) next year!
Jeannie, your cross stitch is so pretty, and the mice are simply adorable! You did a lovely job on it. That must have been fun. It certainly will be lovely framed, too. Love the button Christmas tree project. Yours came out so grand!
Thanks for visiting, and a very Happy Christmas to you, too!! May you and your family be blessed with peace, joy, and good health this season and this new year!
Blessings,
Marianne xo
Love the Christmas tree. Will have to think about that for the future.
Thanks it’s a good bit of craft to do with children.
Those are super projects to work on, the end results are beautiful! Hope your Christmas was special, and Peace to you and yours for the year to come 🙂

Many thanks for your message. Christmas was lovely and even got a few crafty gifts which I shall probably post pics if soon.
