Liebster Award and nominees

The very kind Fiona at Green Elephant Crochet and Things nominated me, Creative Pixie for a Liebster Award. I’ve been nominated for this award in the past but it’s fun to answer new questions and post links to new favourite blogs. The Liebster award is a really great way to discover new blogs. Once you are nominated by a fellow blogger you then go on to choose 5 blogs which you would like to share.

The rules are as follows

  • Thank and link back to the person who nominated you.
  • List the rules and display the awards.
  • Answer the ten questions given by the nominator.
  • Nominate five other blogs for the awards and notify them.
  • Create ten questions for the 5 nominees to answer.

Here’s the 10 questions Fiona has asked me to answer 🙂

1 – Where is your favourite place to spend time on your craft?

I don’t have a designated craft room, I like to craft on my dining table at the end of my living/dining room.

2 – What is your favourite colour combination for a project?

Pink and purple seems to feature quite a lot in my crafts.

3 – What is the most recent movie you have seen?

Frozen – my daughters love this film and Miss P knows all the words to the songs, everytime ‘Let It Go‘ comes on the TV/radio she gets up and performs it for us (hand actions and all).

4 – Would you prefer to be too hot or too cold?

Too cold – at least I can snuggle up in a blanket. I can’t stand being too hot, it makes me irritable.

5 – What is your favourite item of clothing?

My flowery Cath Kidston dress my husband got me as a surprise. Even though it’s quite a thin cotton, it’s so cool to wear in the summer and great with thick tights in the winter with a cardigan.

6 – Which is your favourite season?

I love autumn, there’s something about the changing colours of all the leaves and long walks in the woods with my children that I just love. Also it’s the time of year we carve out pumpkins at Mount Stewart’s Pumpkinfest.

7 – Coca Cola or Pepsi?

Pepsi, in fact for a piece of GCSE art coursework (many years ago;-) ) part of a painting I did included a Pepsi can.

8 – If you won the lottery what would you do first?

Have a holiday.

9 – Do you have a favourite animal?

I love all animals but recently I watched a documentary on Californian sea otters – they are soooo sweet and especially how the mums carry about their little babies and have a favourite stone to crack their shellfish food on.

10 – What is your most prized creation?

My garden – we started with just a patch of lawn  and now we’re growing apples, apricots, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. Our girls love to go out and pick their own fruit and I’m proud that we do it organically too. We also try to grow decorative plants as they add some colour to all the green.
