I meant to publish this yesterday but I’ve been feeling a bit tired this past couple of days and totally forgot to share this.
Watching: Last week was half term and on Friday I took my daughters to see The Greatest Showman at the cinema.
I knew it was a period musical but was totally blown away by how good the music and choreography was. Hugh Jackman was also very good in the lead role of P.T. Barnum (arguably the first American showman). On leaving the cinema we stopped at the supermarket on the way home and bought the soundtrack to play in the car and we’ve have been singing it non-stop ever since. You must watch this film.
YouTubing: A couple of days ago I watched a brilliant YouTube video by the Paper Tiger channel on Stranded Colorwork. On the video Dianna, shares all her tips for successful colorwork and her advice is brilliant (who would have thought choosing dominant strands would make such a difference). I hope to get started on some swatches soon. If you follow any podcasters please share who in the comments below as I’m always looking for new channels to subscribe to.
Reading: I’ve picked up A Court of Wings and Ruin (by Sarah J Maas) again after a break.
This is the 3rd book in the series with the 4th coming out later this year. It’s such an enjoyable series but be warned the content is quite mature.
Work: I spent Monday and Tuesday on a First Aid at Work Refresher course. I am now totally up to date with what to do in an accident and if you need CPR I’m your girl (hoping I never need to use it).
Knitting: I finished my New Year’s Day cast on project and have shared a blog post about it, you can find it here.
I wanted to start a new portable knitting project so I have cast on the Rose City Rollers socks by Mara Catherine Bryner.
These will be for little Miss E so she chose for them to be knit with Paintbox Yarns new sock yarn in the Fairisle Passion colour.
Well that’s all I’ve got to share with you today. If you want to join in then just use the #midweekwaffle tag on Instagram as I’d love to read what you have getting up to.
