For those of you who don’t know I have a YouTube channel where I talk about my works in progress, finished objects, stash purchases. I’ve had this channel for a couple of years now but recently I’ve made more of an effort to add more content.
Last week I mentioned in a blog post that I had created a video containing some tips for crocheting amigurumi after I made the Murray and Bonny .
Today I uploaded 2 video tutorials, the first one is ‘How to crochet a foundation chain‘.

In this ‘how to’ video suitable for beginners you will learn how to hold a crochet hook, hold the yarn, how to create a slip knot and how to do chain stitches.
To accompany this video I also created a video tutorial on ‘How to crochet a magic ring‘.

In this 2nd ‘how to’ video suitable for beginners I share how to create a magic ring. A crochet technique which is used when working in the round to create a tight center with no visible hole – ideal for creating toys/amigurumi.
I would really appreciate it if you could head over to YouTube and check out my channel, if you like what I’ve created then please click on the subscribe button to make sure you don’t miss any future episodes.
I’ve really enjoyed creating these and plan to create more content for regular uploads.
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading and I’ll be back again soon.

Nice, Jean. Glad to see you expanding. I went by to check out your beginners chain video and will check out your magic ring video, as well. I hope many are inspired by your talent and patient teaching method.
Blessings,
Marianne
Editing is a wonderful thing. During the filming I banged my foot (ouch!) and my 2 cats decided that where I was filming was very interesting. Thanks for viewing.
Sorry to hear about your ouchy experience…ah, the woes of the creative journey, indeed. Jean, I am in the middle of giving your blog and Youtube channel a “shout-out” on Leisure Lane, so I hope this helps to spread the word. God bless, my friend.
That’s very kind of you.

oops. My apology, Jean, I did think I had sent the previous reply, so resent with an added question. You can “self” destruct these last two with my blessing. 😉
Jean, I’m ready to post, but was wondering if I may use one of your photos for the promotion of your blog. Thank you Marianne
Yes that’s ok, thanks for checking with me.
