Midweek waffle – 7th March 2018

March 7, 2018

Well what a week of  weather! It has been freezing – literally. In fact we had a snow day off work/school on Friday 1st. We woke up to a cold house as the boiler had stopped working during the night but thankfully I knew how to get it working again. We had 3 full days … More Midweek waffle – 7th March 2018

Carrickfergus castle

March 22, 2015

Today was an exceptionally sunny day so on a whim we decided to go out for the afternoon. Miss P is doing a module on castle at school so we thought we’d visit a castle at the nearby town of Carrickfergus so she could see one in real life. I had last been to the … More Carrickfergus castle

Giro d’Italia visits Stormont

May 11, 2014

This weekend very close to where I live we had an exciting event – the Giro d’Italia cycle competition was held in my home city and part of stage 1 was a 15 minute walk from my house! For the past couple of weeks shops and houses along the cycle route were decorated pink (the colour of … More Giro d’Italia visits Stormont

I finished the stash buster blanket. I ended up using some white to make the colour stretch further (I wouldn't have enough to do the decreases the same way as the increases) and believe it or not I still have some of the coloured yarn left over.
Working on another corner to corner blanket using leftover yarns from previous projects.
I like to have a little holiday project to work on (we're just staying home). I decided it was time to do a new cross stitch, I only started this on Saturday and I'm whizzing through it (over a 1/4 of the way through it). Using a Lowery Workstand is a game changer and has definitely speeded up my sewing.
Wishing I was here right now.
Quick amigurumi. Yesterday I crocheted up this mini Emma the Bunny from a 2nd hand TOFT kit.
Do you craft more or less in the summer?
