I’m Jean, a married and mum of 2 girls (Miss P and Miss E), live in Northern Ireland and I love crafting.

Ever since my parents bought me a Janome sewing machine for Christmas when I was 14 I’ve always had one project on the go so it’s fair to say that I’ve probably tried most crafts. I love to cross stitch, crochet and make things with the sewing machine  when the girls aren’t about 🙂

I’ve been blogging for a while as I love having a record of what I’ve made, as well has seeing how much my skills have improved. I’ve also been adding tutorials as it’s good to share the crafty goodness!

Anyway have a look around and let me know what you think – I look forward to hearing from you.

PR contact can be done via private messaging on social media or emailing me at thecreativepixie@yahoo.co.uk

  1. Well Jean, my book has arrived!! am almost ready to join you on the square adventure!! Am bogged down with back issues of my crochet mag which gives me a square a week, so really should catch up on the first I suppose, but the squares in the book are so much nicer …

    1. Yay! It’s quite exciting us all crocheting together. I love seeing what everyone else is making (nosey me!).

  2. I love your crochet, and your blogs. Your willow square and danish square are stunning. And no, not everyone who can do tr and dtr can make a cushion like yours – it’s also the choice of colours that make it unique. It’s really gorgeous — if I didn’t have to get ready for work now I would go scruffling through my stash to look for suitable colours and get my own one going. Really beautiful and inspiring.

  3. Hi Pixie, thank you for “liking” my post! I am new here so really appreciate the encouragement 🙂 I love your work and look forward to seeing more!

  4. Thanks for visiting my site! I love your crochet block project – so many pretty patterns. I love crocheting different granny squares, so I look forward to seeing new variations!

  5. Congratulations I have nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award! if you feel like you can accept, head over to my site to have a look at what you have to do and remember to copy and paste the award onto your own blog.

  6. Hi Jean,
I noticed you like Abakhan. I used to live quite near the North Wales branch (but not close enough to go without help from my dad). I loved that place. It’s probably good that it wasn’t nearer because I could have spent a fortune there. 😀

    1. I don’t have any Abakhan shops near me so I buy online which is probably more dangerous 😉

  7. Top o the mornin to ya! 😉
Just wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the “One Lovely Blog Award.” You’ve been doing an awesome job! I truly enjoy your thoughtful and fun posts!
